Projects
We focus our projects on meeting one of our three pillars: education & skill development, foundational wellbeing, and empowerment through connections. And because we are small, agile, and have direct relationships with schools and members of the communities we serve, we are able to put our funds to efficient and immediate use creating higher impact per dollar than if we did not form these relationships ourselves. We have direct involvement in all of our projects below.
Period Product Distribution
in partnership with NORA
Inaccessibility of sufficient hygiene and sanitary products is one major obstacle to keeping girls in school. In partnership with NORA, we supply girls washable period care kits along with a health education workshop. The program has been such a success, other members of the community have inquired about these kits - more to come!
Tuition Funding
at our partner school Dr. B.R. Ambedkar JHS
We are proud to partner with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Junior High School in Haldwani, Uttarakhand to fund tuition, books, and uniform for girls who would otherwise not be able to afford school. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar JHS caters to families living in the most marginalized communities and castes. Our tuition funding program is a multi-year commitment to students we accept to ensure they complete their education with the school.
Infrastructure Rebuild
at our partner school Dr. B.R. Ambedkar JHS
Our partner school, situated in a valley in a mountainous area of India, suffered flooding that critically damaged the restrooms. Because this school receives no government funding and relies solely on tuition and supporters like us to operate, we have committed to rebuilding their restrooms.
